ELMAB has acquired a majority stake in Melin & Carlsson Hydraulic AB, an established manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders with operations in Tranås and Borås. The acquisition is a strategic step in ELMAB’s growth journey and means a broadening of the product and customer portfolio. Together, the companies are expected to reach a turnover of over SEK 500 million by 2026.

By combining Melin & Carlsson Hydraulic AB’s technical expertise and production resources with ELMAB’s industrial experience, the group’s position as a comprehensive supplier of hydraulic cylinders is strengthened. The result is increased capacity, faster deliveries, and a stronger customer offering.

Melin & Carlsson Hydraulic AB, founded in 1990, has approximately 120 employees andsupplies both Swedish and international OEM customers in recycling, logistics, forestry, construction, and material handling. The company will continue to operate under its own name within the ELMAB Group. Ola Melin, CEO and former co-owner, will remain in his role.
